Meet Olakunle Aderinokun The New Head, Media & Public Relations At Access Corporation

 


Olakunle Aderinokun, a media, PR, and art enthusiast, has been appointed as the Head of Media and Public Relations at Access Corporation, replacing Abdul Imoyo, former head of corporate communication who passed away a few months ago. 

Olakunle's appointment was celebrated by industry watchers due to his extensive experience as a media/PR professional and a business analyst. His knowledge of the media landscape made him the ideal candidate for the job.

Highly elated Olakunle announced the appointment on his LinkedIn profile some months ago.  Olakunle wrote, “I’m pleased to share that I’ve assumed a new position as Head of Media and Public Relations at Access Corporation.”

 

 

Before his recent appointment, he worked as an Editor at Arise News Channel. In this role, he was tasked with selecting, editing, and assembling video footage to create a coherent sequence that conveys the director's intended story.

 

 

Olakunle is a detail-oriented journalist who has demonstrated a balance between creativity and results. He is a consistent and reliable individual with deep insights in reporting, particularly in business and finance.

 

 

 

During his journalism career, Olakunle has interviewed top CEOs from both private and public institutions and has travelled extensively. He has attended workshops and conferences in Nigeria and abroad, including the IMF-World Bank meetings, African Development Bank (AfDB) meetings, Asia-Africa Trade and Investment Conference/Tokyo International Conference on African Development (AATIC/TICAD); Africa Oil Week in Cape Town, South Africa; and Vaasa Energy Week in Finland.

 

Olakunle began his career at First Marina Trust Ltd as an MIS and Account. He then moved to Wall Street Trust Company as an Analyst. After that, he served as a Banking Officer at United Bank for Africa Plc. Following this, he founded Pure Synergy. Later, he worked at ThisDay Newspaper Group as an Associate Editor and Group Business Editor, where he was responsible for editing and writing business stories and analyses.

 

Olakunle has a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Ilorin and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Lagos.
